Climbing and Abseil Day 27 January 2010

Hi all,
just an update on the climbing and abseil day on Wednesday 27 January. We will be starting at 8am and will probably finish around 4pm. It will be hot! make sure you bring plenty of your personal rock and rope kit, sunscreen, water and protection from the elements. The day will cover Knots, anchors, self rescue, belaying, simple abseil rescues, prussicking and much more. If you have any questions please call the office on 33496576

Happy New Year to everyone!

The new year is shaping up to be a big one! After much drama the Enterprise Bargaining agreement was passed by Fair work Australia on the 17th of December which means, amongst other things, rates of pay will increase for 2010. However with these rises will also come an increased expectation from clients on both Coefficients management and on field staff (you). With this end in mind we are running a start of year orientation program.

The program will run for 5 single days (21,22,27,28,29 January 2010) (no overnights) and will cover the basics of working with Coefficient and its clients. The program outline is attached to this message. Even if you are a seasoned member of Coefficient it is imperative that you attend so that you understand the changes that are occurring and why. NOLRS will be a big focus for us this year. A more detailed program is attached to this forum post below

G'day all,

There will be a staff meeting held to primarily discuss the EBA.
Other business will be discussed if needed.

This will take place:

Where: PCYC Milton (Lang Park)
When: 10am on Saturday 10th October 2009

It is in the best interest for staff to attend.
A copy of the EBA will be emailed to you in the next couple days.

EBA representation process

As you may remember earlier this year we attempted to put in place a new enterprise agreement to replace the current document. Due to a number of changes to the Industrial relations system this new agreement was rejected by Fair Work Australia and we have had to restart the process. Consequently, you will find attached to this email a "Notice of Employee Representational rights" document which outlines your rights for representation in the agreement making process. By law we need to allow 21 days for employees to choose who they would like as a representative(s). If you would like we can organise a meeting at PCYC sometime around the 8th of September to finalise the representation process. Once this has been done we can send out a draft document and move on to the "endorsement" phase of the process.
